The service renders food assistance to individuals or families who are unemployed, encountering sudden change or facing immediate financial hardship.
Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited is a non-governmental organization under Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, which coordinate, develop and provide social welfare services across Hong Kong and Macau.
The project provides short-term food assistance for a maximum of 8 weeks to needy people lived in the community for solving their urgent needs. Food provided in this project including rice, noodle, canned food, food coupons, hot meal coupons , baby food ,meals for ethnic minorities and special diets , assessed by dietician. Special diets will be provided for those with proven needs.
The Welfare Council has been applying the community care approach to provide high-quality services for everyone in need. In our integrated service system, our service units take collective responsibility for utilizing resources and improving the quality of life of our service users. With a well-constructed service network and community engagement, we aim to construct a caring and supportive society for Hong Kong people.

In order to fulfil the expectations and requirements of our service users, we guarantee that we will be working hand in hand to provide high-quality services and make continuous improvement.
Applicants and their family members must meet the monthly income and asset limits.
Please complete the “Application Form” and present the proof (including the one of bread-winner) of the applicant, the applicant’s family members to the assessor to assess the eligibility for the service.

.ID Card of all household members
.Last 2 months residential proof (Water, Electricity or Towngas Bill)
.Tenancy agreement (Private/Public Housing), Government Rent
.Last 6 months income proof record (Bank book, Bank statement, Employment proof)
.Proof of Student aged 15 or above (Full time Student Card/School handbook)
.Proof of unemployment (Termination letter, Medical letter, Labour Department job seeking registration card)
.Last 6 months transactions records of Bank book or bank statement with updated balance shown at least the last 7 days, and other asset proof (Insurance, stock, etc)
.Marriage Certificate, Divorce Agreement, Death Certificate (if applicable)
.Any other related documents
Remarks: We will deny any application with insufficient document.
